The Clydesdale


Our first production model, "The Clydesdale" was inspired  by discussions with a variety of people.  We all seemed to have the same problems; age, broken bones, bad knees and hips or other injuries which kept us from entering and exiting the current Trikes in a graceful, dignified manner.  With 20" wheels and a seat four inches from the ground, they were simply too small.  One might be able to sit down with some difficulty, but then couldn't get up without more effort and feeling like a beached whale!  

It is said, "If you build it, they will come."  We did and you have.  Our first prototype (pictured above) hit the streets of Anchorage on July 14th and the response has been nothing short of fantastic.  We thank you for your support.

After extensive research, we have designed "The Clydesdale".  It provides the rider with:

  • Maximum ground clearance with the lowest possible center of gravity

  • Comfortable seat height for easy access/egress and the ability to see and be seen

  • 6" seat travel adjustment and 4" recline adjustment

  • Fully independent Mantis style, adjustable front suspension system

  • Full floating rear swing arm with adjustable shock absorber

  • Under seat, self centering steering

  • 4 piece steering knuckles with fully adjustable caster, camber and toe-in with Ackerman compensation

  • NuVinci CVP rear hub, the automatic transmission of the biking world  NuVinci Hub Logo

  • Easily removable front boom and wheels, seat and luggage rack for transport

  • Maximum capacity rear luggage rack and optional trailer hitch

  • Optional electric assist up to 1500 watts

  • Optional winter front ski & rear track package available soon

Our Alaska-BentŠ Trike comes to you ready to ride and fully equipped. It has a wireless computer, bottle cage with water bottle, flag, rear rack, 2 mirrors, head, tail and brake lights. Toss on your rack bag, and you're ready to hit the road!
